Scotts Corners

Most of you probably already know of Scotts Corners. However, if you don't.... this is the shopping "safety value" of northern New Canaan.

Why is it a safety value? Because if you are having a party on SUNDAY and forgot to buy the beer, you can always make a quick trip to a nearby locale where beer/wine sales are still legal on a Sunday.

Since we were roaming around last weekend, the boys & I decided to try & find the mythical land of Scotts Corners (it is located just across the New Canaan border in Pound Ridge, NY).

It was not a bad drive - we just travelled to the end of Ponus Ridge and hung a right. We checked out the town's "supermarket", Scotts Corner Market. This store was not half bad and even larger than our local Food Emporium. However, the surrounding shopping mini-mall was dead (many empty stores).
